Hooray for Friday!!

Whew, we made it through another week!!! I was able to play in today's limited supply challenge over on SCS - birthday cards, 4 layers or less...the only embellishments could be punches and/or ribbon...and if you used a line image, you had to paper piece it rather than color it....well guess what kind of image I chose?!!! Never one to take the easy way out...

I chose a really cool line image by DRS that I have been itching to use...Yes, I paper pieced all the letters. First I stamped the birthday image on the 4 different colors and then I stamped each of the new background stamps in the respective colors, and then....I cut them out! I added a few star punches and a ribbon scrap. I have to say, I really like the way this came out!!! Such a fun card!

I also had time to complete another DTGD challenge...Sharon's stamp simply challenge...

I love this ribbon!!! My card was actually based around the ribbon! I kept it simple per the challenge...the focal image and panels are raised on pop dots and the rose was colored with Tombow markers.

I've got quite a bit to do this weekend!!! Sneak peeks will be starting next week for CC Designs so be sure to check back...AND it's my week to pick the color challenge for the Color Throwdown!!!! Mark your calendars to come and play on Wednesday!!!

See you soon...

Oh wow that birthday card is amazing, those bold colors! and all the paper piecing, wow!! neat use of the backgrounders, love it.
The flower card is something else, I don't think I would have dared use that bright pink ribbon but it works so well! Very elegant.
