The Wednesday Challenges!

Here we are, back at Wednesday again!!! Today is the day for the Color Throwdown challenge and the All That Scraps Design Team challenge...both are challenges you can play along with! Just post a comment on the respective links and provide a direct link to your project so we can check it out!!!



Color Throwdown...
It was my week to pick the colors and I chose...almost amethyst, black and certainly celery...feel free to use non SU! colors if that is all you have...I did!!!

I used one of the new interlocking background images for the celery layer and one of my favorite DRS flowers for the focal image. The piercing was done using my Ornare piercing template. I used my wavy blade on my paper cutter rather than using scissors. The focal image was stamped on watercolor paper and watercolored with markers and an aqua painter. This sketch was one of the DTGD challenges from SCS last week - Holly/Toy's challenge...another one checked off my list!!! I am determined to complete them all this year!!!

And now, my ATS DT challenge card! This week we were challenged to use buttons!!

I used Donald, the surfer boy for my main image and some dp and bazzill cardstock scraps. I added some dew drops to the side and threaded my buttons with embroidery floss. Donald was stamped on white, colored and cut out. I stamped his bottom portion on the blue panel so I didn't have to cut out his skinny legs!!! His shorts are paper pieced.
