Hi there...busy day today! I was able to finish up my second sketch challenge card this morning and posted it to SCS but didn't have a chance until now to blog about it! So, today I have yesterdays second sketch card and today's ways to use it challenge card!
First my sketch card...images by DRS Designs - new releases that are available now!!
I have to say that I really like the red/white layered on the kraft background! I used the same holly stamp on the background as on the white layers, but I stamped it in versamark. Some coloring, a little machine stitching and of course jewels and pop dots under the sentiment circles finished things off!!!
Next up is today's ways to use it card - plaids! What a great challenge, especially since DRS has such cool plaid stamps! I used the large plaid on this card...I stamped it vertically and then horizontally. There is a thinner one as well but I wanted a thicker cozier looking plaid for this card! This snowman is another one of my favorites - he such a happy guy!!!
I machine stitched around the outer edge...the eyelet punch is by Fiskars...I also punched the tiny hole out of the eyelets on the scallop punch stamp. The snowman circles and sentiment are both raised on pop dots. I love this velvet ribbon that I found at Michaels last year. I added some Christmasy buttons and tied on some linen thread. The plaid was stamped in white craft ink, that I just let dry before finishing my card.
Thanks for stopping by today...remember new designs from DRS Designs are now available!
See you soon...
