Birthday Lottery

Hello again - as you can see I am making the most of the first day of school!!! I decided to do another color challenge card using one of my new DRS Designs images...
(click photo for a closer view)

Another simple card, but it gets the point across don't you think?! ;-) Fun, Fun!!!
I stamped the tickets and sentiment in black and pierced along the outer edges of the card and faux stitched with my black marker. After stamping the tickets in black I realized I had to make them look more like lottery tickets (I don't know about you but I like the kind of scratch off that actually yield money...not aches and pains!!!) so I colored the "scratch" areas with my silver sharpie! I must note that I was a little lightheaded by the time I was done - whew are those pens strong or what?! Once I was done, I searched the house for a shiny penny and stuck it on! Short and sweet!

I have another idea/project up my sleeve that is not (egads) a card so I hope you'll check back - if you don't see it today, you should sometime tomorrow! I'm off now to start weeding through and filling out the piles of paper brought home from school today! Both girls seem to have had a good day - whew!! Isn't it funny...my 3rd grader had more homework than my 6th grader...not really funny, but...you know what I mean!
See you soon...
