Strawberries Galore!

Boy, I sure hope DD's friend likes strawberries! This is the gift ensemble I mentioned a few days ago. DD was invited to a birthday party of a girl from school that I have never met and she is turning 12 so I thought a "girly" gift would be a good idea since I had no idea what else to get!!!

DD and I dragged ourselves over to the Target dollar spot (wink - lol) and she picked out a whole bunch of strawberry flavored (?) bath/body items. We also picked up the pail ($2.50 in the dollar spot) and then a package of emery boards, a shower puff and nail polish in the regular cosmetics section.

It's a tall pail and a little hard to photograph because the best part is inside! The tags were stamped with the Green Thumb set by Papertrey Ink. I first stamped the berries in positively pink ink and then rock n rolled them in real red.

Here is a close up of the tag...

The pail is tapered which meant it was hard to cover with any kind of paper so I took the easy way out and tied some ribbon around it. The tag opens so dd can sign it. I added a few tags to the body mist and nail polish just for fun. The organza bag is filled with strawberries and cream hard candies.

Thanks for stopping by today...I hope this provides you with a little inspiration for those pre-teen birthdays!
See you soon...

The gifts!!!

Finally, here are the gifts I said I would be posting! They are due today...nothing like waiting until the last minute to finish things up!!! There are only two pictured but they are all the same...I made these for dds' orchestra teachers, girl scout leaders, bus driver and also one for a friend!! The one for my friend has "friendship is the sweetest flower" stamped on the ribbon...

a close up of the jar top...

The jars are the squarish canning jars by Ball. They are filled with Strawberries & Cream candies...don't you just love it when things all tie together!!! The berries are stamped on watercolor paper...some are popped as you can see in the close up. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch...punched in shimmer paper and then colored with a barely banana marker. There are two hand punch flowers with seed beads in the centers. The ribbon is red twill that was stamped with black stazon ink. Very simple and fun. The bags are lunch bags that I folded down, made a couple of hole punches and threaded the wide gingham ribbon thru. The ovals were cut with the cuttlebug graduated ovals die. I've had it forever and this is the first time I've used it - it's different but I like it! After cutting them, I ran them through my Xyron so they would be easier to attach to the bag. Easy peasy!!!

Thanks for checking in...I'm off to tackle today's color challenge!!!

A DT Challenge...

Christine over at All That Scraps posed a challenge to the DT members this week - use three ribbons on a project...

Images by CC Designs...from the Monkey Love set...

The papers, stamps and ribbon can be found at ATS. The solids are by Bazzill, the patterned paper is by Three Bugs in a Rug - blossom collection. The little white strip is by Doodlebug. The ribbon is all May Arts. The sentiment is an addition to the original stamp set. The sketch is Jen del Muro's sketch for the week...

We're almost at the end of May...you know what that means...coming up on the 4th of June CC Designs will be releasing two new sets!!! You won't want to miss them...so cute!!!

Be sure to check out the ATS blog to see what the other team members did with their three ribbons!!!

See you soon...
