I hope everyone had a good long weekend. Ours wasn't bad...dd#1 spent it nursing a cold but luckily we didn't miss out on anything! dd#2 (8 yrs old) ran her first 5k (3 miles) on Saturday with dh!!! They finished 353 and 354 out of 487 in 30 min.!!! She was thrilled!!!
Anyway...I had a busy card making day today...Tuesday is the color challenge over on SCS - today was artichoke and coral...here are my submissions...All images on the first two cards by DRS Designs - link on the right...(click on photos for closer views)
A straight forward card - I colored the leaf image with my chalk pencils and cut out around the outline. I faux pierced around the perimeter of the card and then sponged on some brown to soften the lines a little.
Next up...a manly birthday card!
These images are part of DRS Designs newest release! The grill is raised on pop dots and I tied hemp behind it for that manly feel!!! Another simple one...but fun!
This next one sports images by CC Designs found at All That Scraps - link on the right and one from Inkadinkadoo (I found this stamp at my local $1 store...along with a "few" others! ;-)
I stamped/masked the bugz and paper pieced their umbrellas. I used my snap stamps for the sentiments and sponged the sky and grass. I added a jewel to each umbrella. This was a fun one!!!
Well, my free time is almost up...dd has a dentist appt.
See you soon...
