As promised...

something a little bit different!
Do you have little ones on your Halloween card list or just someone who is a kid at heart? Well, have I got an idea for you!!! How about sending them a puzzle...?

Check it out!! Here is the finished product...

And here is the how to...it's not all that complicated but I figured I would share anyway...

Supplies...


I found the puzzles at a local craft store...sometimes they are sold in packs and sometimes individually. Since the puzzles tend to be glossy I usually stamp my images with Stazon ink and then color with Sharpies although any markers should work.
I like the stamp my idea onto scrap paper cut in the size of the puzzle just to make sure everything will fit, etc that way if it doesn't work as planned in my head, I haven't wasted the product.

Another idea, if you are pressed for time or just don't want to color, is to send the puzzle (disassembled) to the recipient and let them color it after they put it together. This is especially good for a child...and some adults too!!! ;-)

Here is the puzzle semi-colored...


For the background, I sponged the entire white area with bliss blue and then went around the edges with a navy ink.

Now all I have to do is break the puzzle apart and put it into an envelope. I usually shake it up a bit so it lies somewhat flat...you could put it in a small baggie inside the envelope as well. This might require a little bit extra postage because it will leave the envelope slightly lumpy.
