Busy, Busy Tuesday!

Well, I'm slowly checking things off my idea "to do" list! It's quite a long list and luckily the color challenge that was posted on SCS today worked well with a couple of my ideas!

I don't have the SU! colors listed in the challenge so I matched what I do have the best I could...here is my first for today...this card was inspired by one I saw in the most recent issue of Papercrafts Magazine...
All images are by DRS Designs...(click on photo for a closer view)

The ornaments are cut from my Sizzix...two are the actual Christmas ornament die and one is a tag die that I made into an ornament. I cut the hanger part of the ornament out of silver paper three times and just attached one to the tag to make it look like the other two...clear as mud?! I stamped a different background stamp on each ornament in an ink color that was as close as possible to the paper color. The tan and blue ornaments are raised on pop dots. I ran my cord through a hole I punched in the "hanger" portion and then adhered it to the back of my speckled layer. The brown ornament is adhered to the card itself. I added some jewels and piercing around my sentiment. I slid a snip of cord behind the top of each "hanger" and tied each into a bow.

Number two for the color challenge...again all images by DRS Designs...

I've been wanting to paper piece this mug for a while and since the paper I planned to use was close to the challenge...another item off my to do list!!!
A pretty simple, straightforward card...I paper pieced the mug with patterned paper and my background paper and then stitched. Check out that stitching!!!!! Look how straight it is!!! I sewed this on my big machine...the more I use it, the better we are getting along!! I added a photo corner to the top to balance the card out and then added three heart punches just below. I stamped the image on the brown with white stazon and then adhered my paper...the steam was little light so I went over it with my white gel pen.

Last one for the color challenge...and then I have another "just because" card...

All images on this card (click on photo for a closer view) are by CC Designs, this is the Gone to School (Donald) set.
I paper pieced Donald's shirt and backpack and colored his face with markers. I stamped the stars in chocolate chip ink and highlighted the one on his shirt with my Sakura Stardust pen. I doodled around the edges with my brown marker. Just a simple card to say "way to go" for a job well done in school!

And last but not least...

All images on this one by DRS Designs.
I made this one over the weekend but just had a chance now to post it...the colors are actually last weeks color challenge. These are two step stamps by DRS...the inside and outline of the flower and the inside and outline of the leaf. I stamped my mustard color off on a scrap before stamping on my card for the inside of the flower and then stamped the actual color for the outline. I did the same with the leaves. I stamped and cut out one flower and leaf image and adhered those with pop dots. The flower centers have jewels glued to them. I added some ribbon and pierced below. I added some gold brads above the sentiment.

Whew - that was a long one! I hope you made it this far!!! Thanks so much for visiting...if you have any feedback on the changes I made or just in general, I would love to hear it. Do you want more explanation on projects or less? Only one project per post or multiple(time permitting of course!)? Let me know!!!
See you soon...
