Embossing Creatively!

Today's technique challenge was to ink up a cuttlebug folder, slip in the paper and emboss so that the raised area is the color of the paper and the "other" areas are the ink color...make sense?! Here is my card...

These are new images by DRS Designs, don't you just love the sentiment?!!! I think this flower image has alot of possibilities too!

I inked my folder with pretty in pink which was a little light...at least for photography purposes...after stamping the focal image, I stamped it again on scraps and cut out the flowers. I attached them with pop dots and glued hole punches and jewels to the flower centers. I colored over "best" with my pretty in pink marker and raised the sentiment on pop dots as well.

I don't have sisters, just two older brothers but I'm excited to use this for "things" for my girls...not sure what yet but you'll know when I do!!!

Basketball update - DD's team lost their final game by 2 points...yes, it was quite upsetting for them...I think they all came off the court in tears but....there's always next year, right? DD also tried her best in the foul shot contest but didn't pull that off either...she was first in the lineup which is never good for your nerves!! It seems these days there is alot of pressure even for an 11 year old!!! On and off the court! She did her best though and we're proud of her! Our awards dinner is in a week or two so I'll be in charge of making the gift card holders/cards...so if you're interested in a basketball coach thank you idea, check back soon!!!

Thanks for stopping by...
See you soon...

I like this...I like how the flowers pop out from the stamped background. Joan

Absolutely LOVE this! It's got a bit of everything - which is fun! But still, looks so crisp and balanced! Fun stuff!
