The first official end of year gifts were handed out this morning!! Today is/was the last day of religious ed. (CCD) for my girls and since youngest dd's teachers are in 8th grade, I thought these were appropriate gifts...
They are the kraft notebooks from Target...they came in a two pack. I can't remember how much but I know they were reasonable. I covered them with dp (yeah, I used some!!!) from a Christina Cole slab I found at Michaels a while back. The black ribbon is from Target. I attached a Heidi Swapp clear flower with a jewel brad. The letters are the chipboard letters from the Target dollar spot from last year. I used the glittery celery ones...I covered them with black craft ink and then heat embossed them with two layers of UTEE so they are nice and shiny! They have sticky on the back but the heat made it a little less effective, so I attached them with two sided tape. The flower stamp on the scallop tag is by Inkadinkadoo and the sentiment is by DRS Designs.
I found some RSVP pens in my stash and slid a scrap of the paper inside so it made a complete set. I'm really happy with the way they turned out...I hope they like them and find them useful.
This week is teacher appreciation week...our schools used to go all out with a list of gifts/surprises you had to bring in each day but they seemed to have toned that down a little. Now they just provide them with lots of food!!!! I have something in mind though for the girls to bring in...check back to find out what!!!
See you soon...
