Anything but a card...

that is the subject of the 5th DRS Designs blog challenge! Click here to check out the blog and get inspiration from the other design team members!!!

Here is my project...

I've been eyeing this sentiment for quite a while and finally put it to use! The frame is from my "stash" but was originally from the Target dollar spot! It had a ribbon stuck on the front that I carefully peeled off! The sentiment was stamped on speckled paper and then the edges were distressed. The red background panel was stamped with the DRS star background stamp. The tree, pencil and notebook paper are sizzix die cuts. I machine stitched around the sentiment and the red background panel. The "apples" on the tree are tiny buttons. Just before placing my project in the frame, I added some gingham ribbon. A fun and relatively easy (and inexpensive) teacher gift!!

So, go ahead, dig out your DRS stamps and some fun stuff from your stash and show us what you can do with them. Stop by the DRS blog when you finish and post a link to your creation! There is no time limit to play, just let us know when you do!

See you soon...
