A good way to start the week...

is with a papercrafting challenge, right?! Today is the first day of the 10th challenge over on the DRS Designs blog. This weeks challenge was ornaments! Here is my folk art star using this image...

I started with a piece of green flannel and stamped the image with forest green stazon ink. I then used red floss to satin stitch the inner star. I added some seed beads to the small dots on the image and randomly on the red star and then hand stitched the edges and filled the star with fluff. The hanger is a piece of hemp with some jingle bells tied on with Martha Stewart bakers twine.

Anyone can play along with this and any of the other challenges on the DRS blog. If you upload to an online gallery, please use the keyword DRSC10. Also, post a comment on the DRS blog so we can come take a look! Be sure to stop by the blog to check out what the other designers created for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by...
See you soon...
