second post for today...
to go along with today's sketch challenge on SCS!
Images by DRS Designs...
This plant shelf image is so pretty and fun to color...this week's color challenge was perfect for this too! As you can probably tell, if you check the SCS thread, I flipped the sketch to accomodate my focal image. I kept the card simple with clean lines. I stamped the leaves from this butterfly 4 corner background image on the darker blue panel in versamark frost and then embossed it with my swiss dots folder. The butterfly from the same image was stamped in the same ink on the lighter blue layer. I also stamped the butterflies in black and colored them, cut them out and then adhered them to my focal image. This sentiment was a perfect size and match to my card. I added some jewels and some primas with a button (I've been dipping into my stash alot this week!). The leaves are a Martha Stewart leaf punch that I found at Michaels.
Don't forget to stop by the DRS DT blog and leave a comment to be entered to win some cool blog candy AND just a another two days to get your guest designer application in!
See you soon...
