Thoughts of flowers and spring...

now that the holidays are over, thoughts of Spring and flowers start to enter our thoughts even though here in the Northeast Spring is a looooong way away!! Here is a project that is sure to brighten anyones day...whether it's just to say hi, send get well wishes or even thank you...

Meet Ginger! Ginger is from a new line of rubber/cling mounted (no wood) stamps being produced by InStyle Stamps. InStyle offers a line of scrapbooking supplies as well. You can even purchase digital downloads of a specific line of images. I'm honored to say that this project is their "project of the month" for the month of January! Be sure to stop by and check out what they have to offer!!!

As I mentioned, this is a perfect gift to say hello, get well or even thank you. The card is actually a seed holder. Check out the inside shot...you've probably seen other ones that hold tea or cocoa...same idea! The sentiments on this project are by DRS Designs. This project was super quick too...I had the pot and plant stakes and simply dressed up the pot be wrapping some large grosgrain ribbon around it. I stamped on the plant stakes in black stazon with a variety of sentiments to give you the general idea! I attached the card to a stake as well. The metallic binder clip is from Target.

and a close up of Ginger...her glove and pot were cut out, colored and adhered with a pop dot.

here is a shot of the inside of the seed holder...

I filled the pot with paper grass and then added some candies to eat while you are waiting for the seeds to grow! You could also add some home baked cookies or actual planting supplies...let your imagination inspire you!!!

I hope you found some inspiration in this project! Thanks for stopping by...be sure to stop by InStyle Stamps to check out Ginger and her friends!!
See you soon...

Fabulous project, Cathy! I love how you raised up her gloves and the flower pot, and her chunky pearl necklace is awesome! Great coloring, too!
