Something different...

second post for today...

I decided to do something different with my cards today...I made them a different shape than usual!!! Today's ways to use it challenge on SCS was to use the color green or go green by reusing/recycling...I chose to go with the color green!

Images by DRS Designs...

and a shot of the "inside"...

I really like this one!! I used my Creative Memories cutting system to cut half of the oval out of the top of the card front. I couldn't wait to use this newly released tiny chick by DRS...he's so cute!!!! He fits perfectly into the mega flower oval image. I stamped the single blossom which is the same as the flower on the oval in versamark on the green panel and added the sentiment. I used the Martha Stewart doily punch on the yellow and finished things off with some velvet ribbon and buttons.

Next up...an Irish card...

and the inside...

This one is a little bit simpler. Again, I used my Creative Memories oval cutter. The giga shamrock blessing oval is adhered to a gold oval. I stamped this shamrock in green on the green panel. I stamped the first line of the sentiment on a scrap and adhered it to black. I dressed it up with a button and some hemp. The rest of the sentiment is stamped on the inside.

These shaped cards are really very easy and fun to make...perfect for Easter if you're going for an egg look!!!

Thanks for checking in...
See you soon...
