Sheetload of Cards!!!

Wow..it's October 1st...can you believe it. Time flies when you're busy!!! Not only do we kick off a new month today, but DRS Designs is kicking off a new month of sponsorship with none other than Sheetload of Cards. Are you familiar with Sheetload? Well, if you are, you already know what a great Ezine it is and what a great jump start it is to creativity. If you don't, well, you better click on that link and head over...you won't be disappointed! Each month they provide you with a sketch and cutting instructions to make the most of your supplies and yield a whole bunch of cards!! (Of course you can always make just one too!!)

Alicia at Sheetload was gracious enough to ask the members of the DRS Designs DT to participate in the Ezine this month. I, for one, jumped at the chance!! This gift background (H1140) is one of the new holiday release by DRS, but I thought it would be perfect on a birthday card. Guess what...I was right!!!!
I used my "go to" color combo on this card and I just love it!!! I used the birthday multi-greeting (P219) image as my background. The sentiment is one of the fonts used in the image. I simply inked up that portion, stamped it and then cut it out. I used a holiday border image (P083) on the pink layer and highlighted it with gems. This half of the border image can be used any time of year. Did you know that the border/edger stamps each have two images on them...two stamps for the price of one!!! How cool is that?! Some ribbon and more jewels finished things off!
