After:
I found everything at the $1/$2.50 spot at Target...I used my cuttlebug dies for the flowers and sizzix bookplates (inside ovals) for the sentiment pieces...the set includes the box, notecards, address book, journal and luggage tag.
Individual pics:
Cloth covered address book...I used my papertray stamps...I used classic ink...the only problem was the black bled a little but the other colors didn't...I added some jewels and ribbon...I adhered a label to the pen which I stamped with the same flowers before adhering...each of the flower centers on the label have a jewel too...I like jewels!!!
Box: I used modge podge to adhere the paper and then gave it two more coats of modge podge on top...the flowers are mounted on chipboard and adhered with glue dots. Each flowers has a jewel for a center. Each side has a sentiment...thoughts, friends, smile, wishes...
In order to clean up the corners where the paper met I decided to cut strips and make scallops with my SU! slit punch...I then adhered to the box with the modge podge. After all was dry I outlined each scallop piece with my white gel pen.
Journal: I punched a scallop circle from shimmer paper and added a couple silk flowers, a J sticker and a bubble sticker...and a luggage tag: I stamped the insert with the same flower stamps...hard to see and...I added the same flower combo as on the journal, to the back...I just forgot to take a photo of that side...sorry! I also replaced the ugly bow that originally came on it...with the white one...
I'll leave it up to dd to make her own farewell card...
We're off to a movie this afternoon and I have some designs to work on for DRS...as well as DD#2's first communion invite...once again...I hope to return sooner than later!
See you soon...have a great week!

Congratulations! This post was so terrific we included it in our latest Blog Carnival on Craft Critique! In fact, we included several!
We would love it if you'd "share the link love" and let your readers know about the Altered Items Carnival on Craft Critique... but we don't require it.
Of course if you'd rather not have your link included in the carnival then just let us know and we will remove it.
Thanks for creating something so wonderful and sharing it on your blog! :)
