It's still Monday...

Today's technique challenge over on SCS was to make tri-fold cards...http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=240788
This is a different version than what I have made before...even though I knew the measurements after reading the tutorial I was still surprised at how small it ended up being!

I gave it a try - just not sure I'm happy with it (mainly due to the size)...this is a new image from DRS Designs - link on the right...great for those May birthdays!! Next time I will try coloring it in...I did highlight the clouds, birds and leaves with my pastel pencils...I pierced and added some faux stitching with my white gel pen...

here is the inside...

Earlier in the day I made this cherry thank you...the idea was in my head all weekend...

I stamped the image on watercolor paper and then made a mask...I sponged certainly celery inside a piece of copy paper punched with one of my square punches and then watercolored the cherries...added the sentiment and ribbon. It still looked a little plain so I used some decorative scissors on the bottom, pierced inside the '"bumps" and then added a black strip to even it off.

Well, thats it for today...back to the drawing board!! I know I promised a tutorial and blog candy...I am working on both!!!

See you soon...
