I chose the first part of the combo challenge and chose the cards with "blue" in them...feeling it would be appropriate!
Card #1 uses the DRS Designs large plaid stamp...stamp vertically repeatedly and then I used my diamond card edge for...the diamonds! This card was inspired by one made by Tayloredexpressions over on SCS...I believe the top of her card was left blank, but I just HAD to put something up there!
I used my cuttlebug scallops and layered them...since I stamped Thank you over to the right more than I wanted to, I added some jewels...and then I added some more! The ribbon in the center of the card is black velvet...ooohhh....I love that ribbon!! I have a mini scallop punch that I used to make my ticket corners on the bottom. The entire card front is popped as well as the focal point.
Card #2 has a new DRS stamp as a focal point...isn't this bird pretty? I thought the colors and image would do well on a sympathy card...hence the peace sentiment...I stamped the sentiment with white stazon...the focal point is popped and the bird is covered in dazzling diamonds.
I made my own photo corner from a scrap of my patterned paper. I found this paper on clearance at Target a while back..it is flocked...I also have some in a certainly celeryish color...and some in brown! They have a new line of flocked papers out now...I think that is where I found the brown (in the new line, not the clearanced) but I haven't splurged on any of the others yet...although they did look rather interesting! The general idea for this card was inspired by genie1314 on SCS! I believe it was a fan club card...if you don't already subscribe to the SCS fan club - you should! Believe me, it is well worth the small amount of money! Those design members are amazing...talk about a dream come true if you are a lucky "chosen one"! Wow!
See you soon...
