Sticky-Sticky-CANDY!!!!!

No, the candy is not sticky!!!! This is a sticky for the candy so if you want to see any new posts, scroll down...to the next post!!
Here it is...

This time you will receive...two packs of the latest clear stamps from Michaels and a square block (in case you don't have one), a clear Rhonna Farrer stamp and some fabric flowers (stitched and with seed beads in the centers -12 pack) and card attachments (12 pack) - they are small marble like attachments with sentiments on the bottom - self adhesive - I think!...

So...how do I win you ask???? Just leave a comment on THIS POST telling me your favorite family summer vacation spot...why, you ask??? Because it is the first weekend of summer and we still don't know where to go for a summer vacation...I should note that it should be somewhere other than DISNEY!!!! We love Disney...we were planning on going for the third time as a family in August but I am beginning to get cold feet (LOL) as I think it is going to be too hot for two of us (me & dd#2) and maybe we should just do something different...ya know?!

So help me decide on another good place to go...Since I am posting this on the holiday weekend, I will give anyone interested until Thursday (5/31/07) evening at 8p EST - at that time, as usual, one of my dd's will pick a comment out of a hat or pail - whichever is handy!!! We're so technically advanced aren't we?!

I hope you are having a good holiday weekend....

Good luck and see you soon...

I'm not a lot of help.... we don't go a lot of places in the summer other than to my parents house a 7 hour drive away.

But, I do love to spend time outside, preferably near water.... with a good book and something cold to drink!

Hello! Well, being from Wisconsin, I like to go to the Wisconsin Dells. There are a lot of waterparks and tourist attractions there. You should check it out! Thanks!

Well another spot in Florida is Panama City Beach, we love the snorkeling. There are of course a dozen places either direction from PCB where the snorkeling is awesome.

Hope you find just the right spot! This year I want to go to Busch gardens and zoo, I think I will be outvoted! :)

I love going to the Grand Canyon. Every time I see it, it just takes my breath away. Everyone should see this natural wonder atleast once!

I would say Virginia is a beautiful state with lots of history...Williamsburg & Yorktown, not to mention beaches like VA Beach. We were stationed there for 11 years and it was a nice tour!

When I was younger, every year my family went to Destin, Florida for vacation (not too far from Panama City Beach). The water is beautiful and the beaches are white sand. Lots of fun stuff to do too...snorkeling, parasailing, etc. Hope you have a fun trip wherever you decide to go!!!!

Wow..that's a tough one. I haven't been on vacation in years. One of my favorite vacations was a trip we took to British Columbia. We went in Aug and really enjoyed ourselves. It wasn't overly hot either. We were staying at my brother's home and we had a hail storm the one day, it must have lasted for about 20 mins and when it was over my brother & son had a snowball fight. It was so funny. I have so many great memories from that trip.
Hope you find someplace special to make some great memories too!

My favourite vacation spot is Alberta, we had a great trip there a couple of summers ago.

Orginally I am from Massachusetts and that state is full of history. You could go right into boston and do the freedom trail or you could go to fall river to battleship cove or to plymouth to see plymouth plantation and plymouth rock where the pilgrims landed or to sturbridge to old sturbridge village or even check out the witches in Salem Ma. thats just a few things off the top of my head

Being from Canada I can't help you much. Unless you want to visit the praipies and see just how 'flat' we are LOL Hope you have a great summer.

I say you should go some place with a water park as I've heard it's a lot of fun!

Thanks for the chance at the blog candy!

How about the Florida Keys, yes, it's hot, but there is a breeze and you can snorkel. What more could you ask for. It is just gorgeous there and I would recommend it anytime. And...it's not usually crowded there in the summer.

My favorite vacation spot is Gatlinburg, Tn. It is in the mountians and it is very beautiful. There are lots of thing to do like they have an alpine slide that comes down the side of a mountian. They ride you up and you slide back down. There are great places to shop and shows to see.

well, since you said you have kids, I would recommend the Wisconsin Dells, too. I just recently went there for the first time and there's SOOOO Much to do there! Horseback riding, waterparks galore, lots of hotels, theme parks, restaurants and things to do, you'd never be bored. I hope you find something interesting! My other places I love are Mexico and Hawaii, but that's not always an option for everyone.

Well, I was going to say Disney until I read that that was not allowed!

We like Gatlinburg. There is a nice aquarium if it gets too hot, and we enjoyed picnicing and hiking in the smokies. It is a pretty place and pretty affordable. There is also Dollywood, lots of miniture golf and great outlet shopping. We rented a chalet and it was pretty affordable.

I love going to Glacier National Park in Montana when I can. Otherwise I would say renting a cabin on a lake in northern MN or WI is a favorite vacation for me.

We have gone to Branson, Missouri for a few years now. We go the third week in August as the kids in MO are back in school and we get discounted rates at a resort we frequent. The resort is beautiful, sits high atop a hill and is right on the lake. The cabins we stay in are also wonderful and the resort owner is very accomodating. If you'd like more info, let me know! Well, I live in Ontario and have 3 small boys. It is difficult for us to get away without having to pack so much and a nanny. Our spot to vacation at is Sauble Beach. Cottage Country. It is very peaceful. The boys can run around and enjoy themselves.

The NC/SC beaches are great!! But so are the NC mountains--like Boone, Blowing Rock, Asheville! Can't wait to hear what you decide!

How about Vermont? My grandmother has a house on Chimney Hill in, I think Brattleboro? It's around bennington Vermont I know that. We absolutely love it there!
Great blog candy. Thanks for sharing!

I may be biased, but my favorite vacation spot is right here in Maine!! I grew up in NY, but every summer we came to Ocean Park Maine (southern Maine) for 2 weeks - now I live here! It's a great family vacation - beautiful beaches, lighthouses, amusement parks, lots & lots! Good luck planning!

My favorite summer vacation spot is the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It is quiet and beautiful. We take our vacation either before school gets out or just after the kids go back to school when things are less crowded.

Great Blog Candy!! We always go to Florida because I have family there. We went to Disney World a couple of years ago and it was way too hot for July! We decided to go to Tampa and went to Busch Gardens and what a difference. It's like an amusement park in the middle of a zoo and it's cooler there, too. The beaches are nice too! Hope this helps!

Anonymous said...

We love to camp, we have some really great state parks in Missouri. We go at the end of July every year and it is hot, but we always get a great spot with water nearby. My 2 girls love to go to the creek and look for rocks and crawdaddys as my youngest one calls them. We frequent Six Flags and the zoo on vacation too. So you don't have to go far and spend your retirement to have a fabulous time.

WOW! Nice candy! Thanks so much for the offer! Maybe someday I'll win?! I guess my all time fav spot to go for a fun family vacation would be to almost any water park with my boys! We will stay out in the water and sun until we shrivel like prunes and get sunburnt!! Maybe not most people idea of fun...but our family LOVES to be in the water!

Well my favorite vacation spot is HOME! It's got all my stuff there and I don't have to travel far or pack and un-pack and when I go back to work I'm relaxed. I know that's not what kids want to do though, so when my kids were younger we usually went to a nearby resort town Hot Springs, Arkansas and played at the lakes and went to an alligator farm and an educated animals zoo and stuff like that. I hope you have a great time wherever you end up going!

My favorite place to go is the Oregon Coast. Lincoln City is fabulous. What I love the best is strolling along the beach.
