A Saturday Post!!

Wow - I'm actually posting on a weekend, which means I found time to stamp!!! Boy these playdates come in handy sometimes!!!! Especially when they play well on their own!! So, here is a card just for fun...using this weeks color challenge...certainly celery, cameo coral and chocolate chip - very cool combo!

All images are by DRS Designs, link on the right...
I decided to try another one layer card - or kind of one layer! I stamped my paisley in chocolate chip on celery and mounted on chocolate...I used my slit punch on the corners and then my smallest hole punch. The holes are outlined with my white gel pen. The flowers and leaves are two step stamps. The leaves are stamped directly on the card. The flowers were stamped and stamped off and then cut out. The darker of the two is popped on leftover stamp rubber. I added a large jewel to the centers. My sentiment is stamped directly on the card and I paper pierced for some added detail.
I'm back to taking pictures in my pail again!! It was storming outside and I don't know, I kind of like my pail!!! What do you think? Silly or acceptable? If you have thoughts on it, let me know!

Here's a TIP I thought I would share with you...I love to paper pierce as you can probably tell! I don't however have the SU! piercing template...cheapy that I am, I decided on using some items I already had in my stash. Fun foam and a plastic needlepoint canvas scrap. I took my sheet of fun foam, folded in half and stapled together. I lay my plastic canvas on top of my card and my card on top of the foam and pierce away.

See you soon...

This is a great card, love how you layered the flowers but stamped the leaves directly. Think the paid is a great idea.
