DUH!!!!

Ok, if you've been checking in recently, you know that I have been having photo satisfaction issues! I haven't been satisfied with my photos, basically!!!! I purchased a studio in a box thinking that would be the solution....not! So, after having a really cranky day yesterday...I unloaded on dh as well as posted on SCS for some assistance and lo and behold, both came through for me.

JulieHRR posted to my thread and indicated the correct position of the lights, etc...she also mentioned that her set up is quite simple...some cardstock (I have plenty of that!!!) and a daylight lamp...(I have that too!!) DH suggested I use our new, better camera with more pixel thingys (I should note, he has mentioned this several times, but because I am not used the camera and just not too technically advanced, I shied away from it) But feeling I needed to do something, I tried both ideas together and guess what?!!! IT WORKS!!!!! Check out my new photos...oh, and these are for a few of the dare to get dirty challenges as well...

First up - my submission for yesteray's limited supply challenge - to stamp a black image on white, no coloring other than using colored or patterned paper...its a pretty simple card - the sentiment is stamped in black craft and heat embossed with clear powder. The silver panel is embossed with my cuttlebug textile folder. I added a silver brad in the silk flower center and pierced below the sentiment. (click on the photos for closer looks...)

Note: the sentiment and background stamp in the next photo are by DRS Designs - link on the sidebar --->

This card also serves as a submission to Jami's dare to get dirty challenge - more is more. We had to do a "plain" card and then make another with "more"!
Here are the two together...

The "more" is that I added a jewel brad to the flower center and a leaf...I added some piercing and some organdy ribbon. I also stamped a background on the pink layer in versamark and heat embossed it with clear powder. Oh, and I added a bunch of brads as well.

So....how do you like the new photo look??? Huh, Huh???? I know I'm a dork, but something as simple as thing makes me feel like a new person...I'm hoping you can relate because my family thinks I'm nuts!!! (LOL) So, what else is new?! My photo studio that I rushed out to get last week and had to have because that would solve all my problems...is now packed away in the box and ready to make a trip back to Walmart!!

I am now steadily working my way (or planning on it anyway) through these dirty dare challenges...yesterday I was ready to hang up my hat and call it done...put all my stuff on a table at the end of the driveway and sell it!!! But today, I feel much better! I am mid-way through another challenge but took a break to go see Shrek 3 at the $2 theater in town...my review - cute, but not as good as the second, and certainly not as good as the first!

I will return - I hope you do too...
See you soon - have a great weekend!

I love the cuttlebug on silver and how you used it on the transparency. I haven't tried either of those things. Great cards. Way to go.
