Tin Foil Thursday!

Ok, I'm having a hard time coming up with creative titles!!! But, this title really does have something to do with this post! Today was the ways to use it challenge on SCS - to use metallic papers. We could also use tin foil - so that is what I did (even though I have plenty of metallic papers - I'm a hoarder, remember?!) My cupcake liner is a piece of tin foil!

All images on this card by A Chemistry With Paper, from the Holiday Treats and Christmas Cheer sets.

I adhered a scrap of foil to cardstock and then stamped with black stazon and cut it out. I stamped my image again on the flocked paper I found at Target some time ago (!) and cut that out and adhered them together. The holly is adhered with a pop dot. This also the sketch from yesterdays challenge. The sentiment and holly are from the Christmas Cheer set - I added some red jewels for the holly berries. The rest of the card is pretty simple, used my new friend my sewing machine again! I just remembered some other cool metallicy paper that I have been saving for...something! I'll have to put my thinking cap on...maybe tomorrow you'll see just how cool it is...

I got some fun mail today!!! I received the second of the newest release from CC Designs, Little Penquins. They are just so cute! They will be available for purchase on Dec.7!!
I couldn't wait to ink them up and this idea popped into my head as soon as I opened them...

Here's some closer shots...

What a fun set! I used my cuttlebug embossing folder - bow frame card - as you can see they fit perfectly! The penquin set comes with four images and two sentiments. It's hard to see but the red brad on the balloon card used to be silver! I ran out of red brads so I colored it with my red copic marker and what do you know...I now have a red metallic brad! How cool!

Ok, I'm off to find that cool paper...I remember I have it, now let's see if I remember where I put it!!
Thanks for stopping by...
See you soon...
