Happy Tuesday!

Wow - what a great day here on the East coast - over 60 degrees!!! In January, can you believe it - last week you took a chance getting frostbite going out and this week no coat needed!!! Crazy! I'm not complaining though...the warmth can stay!

Today was the color challenge over on SCS - you would think I would have made a spring card, with the weather and these colors, but....no, I didn't! I made a winter birthday card...isn't this snowman the cutest??

Click on photo for a closer view. All images by DRS Designs, this snowman is a new release that is available now.

These are not my normal colors but I think I made it work! I saw this sketch over on Debbie Olson's blog the other day (her link is in my sidebar) and thought this stamp would be perfect. I cut the scallop edge with my carl cutter blade (cutting off approx 1.5 in so the inside of the card shows on the front) and the scallop punch is the mega size. I used my Creative Memories circle cutter to make the green circle. Frosty is colored with markers and then I added some dazzling diamonds to the ground and sponged bliss blue for the sky. After stamping the sentiment I added some jewels!

Oops!!
I almost forgot!!!! I meant to post this this morning, but apparently I forgot! I made this bookmark last night with my new CC Designs images from Love Ya Much...

What a good reader Lucky is!!! First I stamped the book from CC Designs, Gone to School set on the bookmark and then I stamped the book on a transperancy. Immediately after stamping, I turned the transperancy over, lined it up with my stamped book on the bookmark and rubbed it so the image transferred. I then went over it with my black marker. Voila - an open book! I then made a mask of the book and then stamped Lucky. I added some patterned paper to look like a wall and then sponged a certainly celery carpet! I used my snap stamps for the wording. I found these cool bookmark sleeves at Clearbags.com a year or two ago.

Thanks for stopping by...
See you soon...
