were today's color challenge colors!!! But I perservered and here is what I came up with!
First, a free stading framed piece...images by A Chemistry With Paper, I used various sets on this one...the ribbon around the frame from ribbons and frames, flowers from big backyard and the sentiment is from put your mark on it! There is actually a bottom portion to the sentiment for you to sign your initials or name but I left that off for this project.
We as stampers know that we can always use stamp set for something other than what they were originally intended for, right? This set is primarily used on the backs of cards, but why hide them?! The dark frame is a sizzix die - I stamped the ribbon in black craft and heat embossed with clear powder. I adhered my light gray panel to the back and stamped and added jewels. The yellow flower was yesterday's technique challenge. I used a small punch this time and I'm pleased with the way it turned out. To make it free standing, I adhered a piece of cardboard (from my morning oatmeal box!) to the back and made a little easel back so it would stand.
Next is a card - all images by DRS Designs...I thought this stamp would be perfect with these colors!
I used the cuttlebug traffic jam folder to emboss the black layer. The image is stamped in black craft and heat embossed. I made a photo corner to fill in the empty area and adhered microbeads to give the look of salt! Did it work?
Ans last but not least...a project I made for DH...some desk candy for his desk at work. He loves Disney and wishes he could be there all the time so....now when he is having a bad day at work, he can look at this and imagine himself there having a ball!!!
These pics are actually from 2005, I'm a little behind!! I used my creative memories cutting system, stickers and sizzix for this. There is a photo from each park in the "world"!
Thanks for stopping by...
See you soon...
