A Super -Sized Bear!!

Last night was the latest release of CC Designs stamps and digi images. Did you shop?!!! Anywho, the winter bear set was a little late in arriving so Christine sent us all the digi images to work on in the meantime...well I decided to play around with the size of some of the images and this is the outcome!!! A framed piece for my family room...



The frame is 8 x 10. The only thing I'm waiting to add is some chunky glitter that I ordered and should be here any day now. Once I get it, I will add it to the snow and the fluff on the bears hat!! After printing the images on three sheets of cardstock I paper pieced all the different parts...tedious but fun!! After all the pieces were adhered I used a Q-tip dipped in close to cocoa ink and rubbed along all the edges. I cut the off white and black panels free hand and then machine stitched. I did a loose zig zag around the perimeter of the patterned paper (by Flair) too. The felt snowflakes were cut with my sizzix and then I added some buttons and a jingle bell to one of them!

This was such a fun project. So, if you're in doubt about the digi images, give them a try and just have fun with them!!!
