A different way to recycle!

Today's technique challenge on SCS was to use a soda can in our stamping! We had to take a clean, empty soda can, cut it apart, stamp and cut out the image we stamped!

Here is my creation...images by DRS Designs...

I just love this cross by DRS...I stamped it in black stazon, heated it a little to speed drying and then cut it out. The vellum is stamped in white craft ink with this new background image - silhouette branch...so pretty! I punched a hole in the vellum so you could see the sentiment. (oops! I'm just now realizing that the sentiment appears to be retired! Sorry about that...this rejoice in the Lord sentiment would fit just as well though!) I used one of the new Fiskars border punches on the vellum and black. The cross is hanging from piece of embroidery floss. A prima flower and a couple of jewels finish things off!

That's it for me today! I hope you had a great Easter and that your week is off to a great start.

See you soon...

WOW...that's so awesome!! Loving this technique and I'll have to see what I can use to stamp the metal with. Yours is so elegant...can't beat that! Love your embossed vellum too and pretty ribbon :)
