Then, since my supplies were still out! I decided to make another color challenge card using the whole bunny this time!!!
I used my plaid stamp once vertically and then once horizontally...I know I said I would highlight this in the future...and I will!!! Be patient!!! I used the blurring technique from Monday but for some reason it didn't work as well with my markers as it did with the ink from the pads...I sponged some bliss blue in opposite corners of the white panel and added some ribbon with a couple of staples! I outlined the bunny - although it might be hard to see with dazzling diamonds...pierced and did some faux stitching! I seem to be hooked on that lately!!!
In the midst of all the afternoon activity...and there was alot here today!!! A student/teacher basketball game and then a run back to school to pick up a forgotten but very important basketball sweatshirt (we found it thank goodness!) and then back to practice and oh yeah...we had to eat somewhere in there!!! I made another one for the sketch challenge - I couldn't resist!
This time I cleaned up yesterdays mess and went with some different colors! Anyone having a camping birthday party? This card would be perfect!!!
I used my Cuttlebug folder for the red...the folder is set up for an upright card (IMO)...so, I put my paper in sideways and left some sticking out...then I turned it and embossed just the portion that was sticking out...clear as mud? This way the sentiments could all be read the right way instead of sideways...let me know if you don't understand and I will take some photos...
I used my new vintage cuttlebug dies for the black squares and my cuttlebug flower dies for the kraft paper...I pierced them so they looked a little like graham crackers...the marshmallow is part of a larger stamp...I stamped the foremost one three times and cut it out...the middle one is raised on leftover stamp rubber...I adhered dazzling diamonds to the tops and outlines...hard to tell in the photo...I couldn't decide what I wanted to use as a panel behind the squares so I went with some gingham ribbon that I threaded through the holes and through holes I punched on each end of the card. I knotted the ends. The sentiment is from a multi-birthday sentiment stamp...I cut my scallop punches and shadowed them...ran the same ribbon under them...OH! and most importantly....I did some faux stitching and piercing!!!
I'm tired now!! can you tell?!
I'm not sure what is in store for tomorrow...I'll be back though...
See you soon...
