The circle image on the left and the small image in the middle are both new designs I rec'd...part of an Amish/Williamsburg collection...I keep thinking Holly Hobbie when I look at the smaller image. It is hard to tell in the photo but the boy is holding a little frog! I really like the circle image on the left...reminds me of designs my mom used to paint on milk cans, etc when I was a kid. The background is stamped with a plaid stamp and the open space stamped with a card edger stamp. The graduation sentiment is embossed in gold...the tassel is stamped on vellum in black and then cut out. Fun cards and great to include with a gift, lunch, etc...
This next one is another new image for me...
I just couldn't resist using the Happy Retirement sentiment...does it make sense or am I way off base? I just thought the image stamp brought to mind relaxation, picnics, etc...time to enjoy yourself...you know where I'm going with this right? I used my plaid stamp again...this time alternating colors to achieve the look of patterned paper. I "aged" the edges of the scallop and card with a cotton ball dipped into my close to cocoa ink. I pierced along the top of the "dp" and around the circle. I used my rectangle hole punch on the black circle, ran my ribbon through and then tied the ends with some linen thread.
No time to play with my other new toys yet so stay tuned...I found a cool clear tree stamp with "accessories" on my little shopping spree...can't wait to try it out!! I also have to pick my first review set from Rubber Stamping Fun...decisions, decisions... :-)
See you soon...
