Here is my card for today...
All images by DRS Designs. I stamped my dove in chocolate chip and then used a cotton ball the distress the edges. I stamped over the panel with my versamark pad and then heated several times, each time adding more UTEE. I popped it in the fridge and then cracked it! Easy enough if I can figure out the best way to heat it! I roughed up most of my edges with my Heidi Swapp distressing tool. I stamped my snowflake background and swirl in close to cocoa and then used my textile embossing folder to give it some texture. While rummaging through my stash of ribbon I found a roll that had the same pattern as my folder so I attached that to the front. I let one end hang off the card and used a large Making Memories brad to secure it. My sentiment is secured with a smaller version of the same brad. I also rubbed a cotton ball dipped in my close to cocoa ink all over the raised surfaces so they would show up better.
I'm pretty pleased with the outcome of this attempt at cracked glass - I adore this dove image and although the snowflake background is hard to see, it is very cool as well. It is approx a quarter of the size of an SU! background, which makes it much easier to handle and store, and all you have to do it stamp it across your page...no need to worry about lining it up...it is designed for easy stamping with a great effect! Check it out!!!

Just gorgeous ... I love those peaceful colors for the dove and the stamping and embossing of the background looks great.
what a beautiful card! Usually when I do the heating for this technique I place the piece in a shallow box because it contains all the fly away embossing powder.
