Another Day, Another Challenge!

Today's ways to use it challenge was monochromatic colors...easy enough, right?! Well, I really had to think about this one...it seemed all the 'mono' colors I tried to put together just didn't look right...these are the two cards I finally squeaked out!

Images by DRS Designs, click on photos for closer views.

The snowman image is a new release by DRS and is available now! I used some piggy tales, baa baa black sheep collection dp and machine stitched with my machine. A great design for thank yous or any card that needs to be mass produced!

Next up...all images by A Chemistry With Paper - ribbons & frames and Christmas Cheer.

I found a scrap of dp and let that direct the rest of the card! I tried to make the squares look like postage stamps...what do you think?! I stamped my blue frame first and then masked all around before stamping my snowmen and reindeer. Is postage 41 or 42 cents? I couldn't remember (I send alot of emails!) and I wrote that in with my marker. Again, I machine stitched and added some jewels.

*********
Last night I worked on this little cutie by CC Designs. Images are from Little Penguins, sentiment from reindeer games and the tree is from Lucky's Christmas Wishes..

The polka dot paper is by Daisyd's...the cord is from Michaels and the red ribbon is by May Arts. I machine stitched and punched holes in the scallops of the scallop punch. I added a jewel with a glue dot. The dp, red ribbon, stamps, scallop punch and stardust pen can be found at All That Scraps. Don't forget, free shipping on orders over $10 in the US!!!

We had another snow storm today...no school - it was cancelled before the storm even started...since it wasn't snowing when we got up, I got everyone ready for school...sent oldest dd out to the bus...5 minutes later she came back in saying the neighbor came out and told her there was no school - ooops!!! Wishful thinking I guess!!! Here's hoping they go in tomorrow so I can start (yes, start) some Xmas shopping...I did mail my cards though so I'm not completely behind!!

Thanks for stopping by...
See you soon...

Love your cards, they are so cute!

I did the same thing with my DD. I had her ready for school, waiting for the bus. I called the bus people to find out if the bus was late due to the weather and they told me school was closed. Oh, well.

Thanks for sharing your cards.
