Another great sketch...

for today's challenge over on SCS...

Images by DRS Designs...

These are newly released images by DRS Designs...I chose to use the colors from yesterday's color challenge on this one. I stamped the beach image twice, once on light and once on dark. I then cut the dark one out and adhered it with pop dots. The sentiment and scallop are raised as well. The background images were stamped with versamark ink.

This was a fun one!! I stamped the tie on white and blue. I cut the blue panel into a circle and then paper pieced the tie. The whole combo is raised on pop dots. The background stripes were stamped in versamark using the DRS plaid stamps - a must have for any stamper!!! I also used a ribbon slide by DRS for the belt buckle. I stamped it in silver craft ink and then heat embossed with silver powder. I thought the corner needed a little filler so I made a photo corner and cut it a little funky to match the letters.

Thats all for now...yesterday really wiped me out! Don't forget the deadline for applying to DRS Designs Design Team search ends this Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by...have a great rest of the week.

See you soon

Wow, Cathy. These are both great cards. I love the serene scene you created with the palm tree for the first one, and the sentiment is perfect!

The Father's Day card is really a great idea, too. I like the look with the tie paper pieced, and the ribbon slider/belt buckle. Really cool!
