A challenge to use jewels...

well, that's not much of a challenge for me is it?!!! (LOL) Today's ways to use it challenge was just that, a creative way of using jewels...

Images by DRS Designs...(don't forget to check out the ALL NEW DRS blog for daily updates from design team members!)

I decided to make a gift card holder using this new image by DRS Designs. I made my card as usual and used a craft knife to cut just above the roof of the golf cart before adhering the white panel to the black. I adhered the white panel at the top and bottom so the card would slide in and out easily. I colored (again!!) with my new Bic Mark-it (Copic wannabes!). Love them!! Did you get yours yet??!!! I added large jewels to the hub caps and a few smaller ones up top to balance the ribbon. I love this ribbon...found it at Michaels in the $ bin a looong time ago. I didn't have much (or any!) room to stamp a sentiment so I added a strip of vellum stamped with black stazon ink. To adhere it, I scored where I wanted it to fold, adhered a little bit of adhesive and then tucked the tabs behind my green panel!

Thanks for checking in...this is my second post today...scroll down to see some peeks at new sets being released by CC Designs on Aug. 11. You can also check out the ATS blog to see more samples and to see how you can win a set!!!

OMG, I love your design. I thought, wow, look at the roof on that golf cart, and then I realized it was your card. How cool is that. It matches perfectly, and the card really looks like part of the image. What a GREAT idea. Now I will be thinking of my card design when I pick out my gift cards to make sure they match. LOL ;) Kel
