I love that movie!!! In case you were wondering, but I'm sure you weren't so...on with my post!!! (LOL)
Last week while I was rummaging through my stash, I found a Target mailbox that I had hidden away last year...or was it the year before?! I thought it would make a great display in the DRS showroom, with that "red" holiday coming up!!!
Images by DRS Designs...
I kept it pretty simple. There is a black ribbon wrapped about the front of the box, just past where the door closes and it is tied in a bow at the top...as you can imagine this is a little difficult to photograph without taking a ton of shots! I used two of the new scallop punch images released by DRS this month and last month. They are a perfect addition to any punch or to use without a punch! The heart on the flag is a new release...it looks so awesomely shiny when you stamp it with craft ink and heat emboss it! I think this open heart border is one of my favorites and I couldn't make a Valentines project without a Valentine sentiment!!! I used my Fiskars threading water punch as a border and added jewels to every other hole. I added a sizzix heart punch next to the sentiment.
I am still on the search for the newest mailboxes...I've heard a rumor that they are now in metallic silver and pink - how cool is that!!!!??????
The technique challenge on SCS today looks interesting...no school here today which means a trip to the mall...I'll have to ponder what to make while the girls shop and I struggle to hear what they are saying to me in the darkness of the stores!!!
I hope you are inspired by this simple way to decorate the Target mailbox without all the patterned paper and frills...sometime you just don't need them! If you are in the Bethel, CT area, stop in and you can see it in person!!!
Thanks for stopping by...
See you soon...

*GASP* OH MY!!! LOVING THIS!! It's just sooo cute! I don't have a Target here which seems to be where everyone gets these cute little boxes. It's so adorable!! :)
This mailbox is so adorable, simple is nice sometimes. This would be so cute sitting anywhere on display for Valentine's Day. I have to get to Target and see if they have nay of these left.
Thanks so much for sharing.
This is so adorable!! I can never find these darn mailboxes at my Target!!
